Welcome to IntelliGene Diagnostics
My name is Bhakti Patel, and I am a molecular biologist and NGS specialist with over 20 years' experience across academia and industry. Through IntelliGene Diagnostics, I work with academic institutions, biotechs and biopharma companies to support innovation in healthcare-related fields.
I support four main areas with a clinical focus – genomics, diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccine development. I do this via several routes, from coming up with innovative ideas and testing them at the bench, to building infrastructure that supports projects, providing technical project management, and leading large multidisciplinary teams.
Targeted assays to investigate the cause of disease at a molecular level. Employ amplification-based assays to detect targets of interest, enhance workflows with NGS to generate sequence rich information.
Explore the latest NGS technologies for unlimited investigation of the human genome and/or epigenome. Elucidate the cause of rare or complex disease.
Use NGS to accelerate drug discovery. Achieve higher standards of quality control in the production of gene therapies and vaccines.
Highlight the advantages of new molecular biology and NGS tools by combining them with the right human health application or partner technology.
