Welcome to IntelliGene Dx
My name is Bhakti Patel, and I am a Research & Development Consultant who collaborates closely with academic, biotechnology and biopharmaceutical partners to support innovation. I specialise in the use of molecular assays and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows in healthcare related fields.
With over 20 years' experience across academia and industry, I have deep expertise in genomics, molecular assay design, and the full range of NGS technologies across today's evolving landscape. Each technology, ranging from short- to ultra long-read sequencing, has a unique set of features, benefits, and scientific areas where the greatest potential lies.
I help clients navigate this field to address their scientific questions in the most impactful way. I create assays and workflows that are customised to each individual project and use the best matched technologies to generate high quality data, whilst balancing factors such as speed and cost. Projects span a variety of areas.
Targeted assays to investigate the cause of disease at a molecular level. Employ amplification-based assays to detect targets of interest, enhance workflows with NGS to generate sequence rich information.
Explore the latest NGS technologies for unlimited investigation of the human genome and/or epigenome. Elucidate the cause of rare or complex disease.
Use NGS to accelerate drug discovery. Achieve higher standards of quality control in the production of gene therapies and vaccines.
Highlight the advantages of new molecular biology and NGS tools by combining them with the right human health application or partner technology.
